Happy Labor Day, all! Today's post is a fitting announcement, as this blog is a large amount of labor on both of our parts; so, starting today, we'll be posting on Monday and Thursday only.
Why bi-weekly instead of tri-weekly? Well, the answer comes in 4 parts, which we're going to explain so you can understand how this benefits all of us.
#1: These cartoons take time.
Yes, part of the charm of this cartoon is that we use a lot of the same images over and over again--it's funny--but we also do create a lot of new images. And as lead artist (I do the majority of the artwork, but Brandon has done a lot more lately and has gotten really damn good at this MSPaint thing too) I can tell you it's not easy. Especially working on a Jewish netbook. If you've ever used a netbook, you know it can be a little Jewish with its resources.
And yes, he's a dick, but at least I'm not trying to do this on a Mac.
#2: Coming up with interesting and funny topics takes time.
We do a lot of spit-balling and brainstorming before we come up with something good to post, and after almost a year of blogging, this isn't always easy. It can be difficult to come up with 3 unique topics a week. And on top of that, we just don't want to over-exhaust the humor and let the funny run out. The last thing we need to do is become the Simpsons.
Seriously, if you're a child of the 80's/90's like me and remember when the Simpsons was funny, watch a new episode now. It's soul crushing how unfunny it is.
#3: Commenting takes time.
If you comment on our blog, you'll notice that we always make a very conscious effort to thoroughly read your blog and post a well thought out comment. Unlike the 'great post bro!'s that love to float around Blogger, we do genuinely care about your blog. But as our popularity grows and we get more readers and commenters, that means that so too does the amount of time that we must read and comment.
By posting only on Monday and Thursday, that gives us more time to visit our readers and give them some much needed blog love. Unless, of course, they're thoughtless assholes like this (yes, this happened last week, and no, I won't omit names or blogs. The blogger in question can go fuck himself).
God, that felt good.
(Some may tolerate the thoughtless, empty-headed 'nice post!' comments, but unfortunately, this blog does not. We read your blog, so we don't think it's too much to ask that you read ours. I mean, we're not exactly posting 12 page essays on the pros and cons of Keynesian economics. This is a comic strip. I'd like to think it's pretty easy to read.)
#4, and perhaps most importantly: We have lives outside of our blog.
Without our outside lives, we have nothing to blog about, and let's face it, sometimes it's just nice to get off the computer and go outside. Or a grab a beer. Or especially for us, as writers, to write. And we'd like a little more time to work on the writing.
So there you have it; ultimately, we choose quality over quantity. And do not fear, for we can surely promise that the funny will not stop. The posts will be bigger, better, and longer, and we will always be around to read, post, and spread our bloggy love. So if you're interested, you'd better grab an e-condom... because we choose to Blog Responsibly(TM).
Cheers and stay classy, friends,
Bryan and Brandon

Oh, that's my Apple alright - she's totally like that.
ReplyDeleteIt's a long time since I drank Smithwicks it reminds me of home and fizzy battery acid, your blog will still be quality reading even if it's only twice a week, keep it up and a nice post.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome! Freaking hilarious! I love that you take the time to draw the cartoons. It's that extra special touch that makes your blog great to read. Enjoy real life, and the true fans (ok, so I'm a new fan, but a fan none-the-less) will be here waiting to read when you do post.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Labor Day, guys! Hopefully you get to spend it relaxing. I've been reading you since you were featured by Blogger, and I think you're great! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDelete1. I remember my first pc 2gb hardisk - Zenith, which I bought for a fortune that time. Everytime I open oracle the system would shut down corrupting my OS. and after a while, the reseller as well shut down his business.
ReplyDeleteThere is one website toondoo.com - it helps you to make cartoons, try that once. You may like it.
2. Absolutely agree.
3. My two cents. Too hard. Reminds me of Stewie episode where he flies and slaps Will Ferell for his "Bewitched" movie butchery.
4. Quality than quantity. Absolutely.
I hope that mood label of yours is truly "relieved" and still "annoyed" :)
4.
"Rocky Road" "Hey You Guys" Mjunta reminds me of someone....haha
ReplyDelete2 posts a week is cool, just don't get rid of the Shark riding Lady.....I lurve hur!
To tell you the truth, I'm going to miss reading that one extra post each week. But I do understand where you're coming from and I support you fully. I've only been writing for a couple of weeks now and I know how much time writing an entry can take with a packed schedule. Your animations are hilarious and never fail to put a smile on my face. I guess, I could adjust to just two entries a week. Good luck guys!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love how the Macbook is an IBM.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, and most importantly, thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one that wants to punch that guy in the face.
DO let me know if he leaves a comment on here. That'll be worthy of a chuckle. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
I started to get angry about this bad news until I saw that you were drinking Smithwick's ;) Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you two kept up with all this. Blogging doesn't pay the bills either and your time is valuable. And I appreciate that you don't play the "leave a comment, get a verbal hand job" game.
ReplyDelete'Nice post' ;)
ReplyDeleteYou can punch me alright. But then again, between flying to Troy and forgiving the thoughtless twerp in me, you would probably choose the latter.
Btw, who else searched for mjunta?
ReplyDeletePS: no spamming intended. just prematurely clicked 'post comment' earlier.
I have a netbook and can totally understand. I usually will have Monday or Tuesday mornings to sit down in front of my computer with a cup of coffee and read others blogs. An hour or two later after commenting on most of them, I can get on with my day. I can only do this one or two times a week because I have other things that need my attention; laundry, house cleaning, feeding the dogs, etc...
ReplyDeletetotally agree with #4. also, the hasidic comp kills me haha
ReplyDelete'Seriously, if you're a child of the 80's/90's like me and remember when the Simpsons was funny, watch a new episode now. It's soul crushing how unfunny it is.'
ReplyDeleteThank you! (I'm in my mid twenties and I can so relate.) It's like watching an old family pet deteriorate into a pile of shit but your parents refuse to put the poor old thing down.
Well done again guys. You got me thinking about my laptop but if I had to guess, I'd say it was Mormon not Jewish. Everytime I try to look at anything even resembling porn it freezes quicker than you can say "was that a nipple?"
ReplyDeleteKeep it up twice a week
You pointed out how much the Simpsons suck now AND you flew out to punch one of those "nice post"ers in the face. This has been a very therapeutic post. Love the Jewish netbook.
ReplyDelete"Without our lives, we have nothing to blog about..."
ReplyDeleteI hate the days that I'm sitting at my computer and have nothing to write about because I just wasted a day on a Keeping up with the Kardashian's marathon.
...that's really not a wasted day for me. It doesn't leave much to blog about though.
I love how much you value the quality of your work...it definitely shows.
nice post.
ReplyDeleteLol.
2 posts a week is understandable. I've always been amazed that you guys post so much given your awesomely original/funny/mind-blowing content. Much better than me. I'm currently neglecting my blog. Lucky to get one post every other week.
I've been a victim of MJunta too. Although i would love if he came back and commented: nice post!!! Just because he rolls like that and he won't take shit from you.
ReplyDeleteCmon Mjunta, don't let me down.
We can all wait, it's cool. Good things are worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteI need to stock up on e-condoms. I'll miss my third weekly dose of comic hilarity, but I appreciate how long it can take to do the cartoons, and the other things you do. You guys made a tough, but overall smart, decision. I'll probably have to stop making a post every day when I become as uberfamous as you guys lol. I also worry sometimes about the funny running dry, I get worried when I don't have a few days of material saved up, but so far I'm getting by okay. I can tolerate "nice post!" because I like to tell myself they actually read it.
ReplyDeletesurely they read it?
Right? Right?
I grabbed that econdom a little while back when I switched from Blogger to Wordpress. It was the perfect time to make some changes. Writing everyday or even every other and following a lot of blogs is exhausting and shouldn't this be fun? To be an active part of this great community you need to be reading and commenting on blogs and you can't do that and write great posts every other day. I'm glad that you are taking the necessary steps to ensure you don't burn out...I'd hate to know a blogging world without you guys in it!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm not sure if my "craptop" blushed in shame, or swelled with pride at your netbook cartoon? Either way, I think it definitely recognised itself.
ReplyDeleteThank you, your blog has given me a good giggle!
Your riff on commenting is absolutely right on! Love the fantasy sequence.
ReplyDeleteAvoiding burnout seems like the biggest concern. Especially since you both write outside of the blog too. And I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I appreciate your comments because they often build upon the joke or add a new angle I hadn't thought of.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you guys could even make 12 pages of pros and cons on keynesian economics worth reading, and if you had I might have done better on my exam last year!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I can understand how it must take you ages to do all those pictures! Do you guys have other published stuff that I can read?
the troll in me simply wants to say "nice post."
ReplyDeletelol
I'm happy that your laptop has facial hair.
personally though, I don't mind the simple comments. pageviews are pageviews, eh? but yeah, it's all about getting people to actually read what you post and leave a thoughtful response. That's what every blogger wants, but as Mr. Jagger tells us, you can't always get what you want.
Woot! My blog is 3 weeks shy of a year old today!
ReplyDeleteYou did say, once upon a time in my blog that "3 is a crowd" and no one wants a crowded blog.
But I will say, as a posting BINGER, I understand.
I'll go a week or so without anything to say, then get the urge to binge out in front of my keyboard and type like 5 posts in 3 1/2 days.
I never, however, run out of stuff to talk about. Though, in all fairness, my blog is based heavily on "this is what and/or who I banged today".
And if nothing else, I have a PSA about manscaping, blowjobs, being nice to strippers, or something fun to regurgitate from the intermost folds of my beloved brain, like my hellish nightmare in Dayton.
But hey, not everyone thinks like I do ;)
I work on a netbook, as well. JEWISH isn't the word I would use (I use a MUCH more offensive term), but there have been times when I've been working on something, and it legitimately sounds like I'm trying to coax a cat into SCUBA diving.
I know it would be INCREDIBLY hard for you superstars, since being plastered on BON (by the way, right before you guys were featured, or whatever, I went on a tear about BON never featuring 'adult' blogs, I'm still sore about that) but moderating comments is always a GRAND idea.
You read (and commented on) my contact PSA. I probably delete as many comments as I publish.
It gives me a smug sense of satisfaction to click DELETE, and it saves said moron from leaving something on my blog they will probably regret when another one of my readers tears them apart.
But, HEY! You're still posting, so no need to get upset, just to say
Damn, one less day a week to perv your creativity.
:)
Jen
Yeah, this upsets me a lot, and not just your treatment of the Jewish computer community. Now my Pulse feed is going to be one entry short, per week! There are only so many news stories that can be read over and over again. This new bi-weekly schedule better mean longer posts with more photos of crappy HOA-contracted yard work. And more pictures of Bryan running with a toaster in hand.
ReplyDeletei totally get what you mean about netbooks. I'm currently working off of my wife's right now because my lappy decided to overheat and flip me the bird as it shut off for a forever nap. Using the netbook kinda sucks when you have no cd drive (which is why i am taking my other one apart to "upgrade" this one), but it is doing the job and i am happy to have it. I also agree that coming up with stuff is hard to do 3 times a week, thats why I only do 1 per. in any case...I DIG YOUR WORK, KEEP IT UP!!!
ReplyDeletep.s. the simpson's do blow goats these days. time to hang it up or get new writers.
ReplyDeleteIf you did post 12 page essays on the pros and cons of Keynesian economics, I certainly wouldn't be reading you! Funny enough, I was literally thinking about how much time it takes (wondering, actually) to do the cartoons (which I absolutely love.) And I have been tempted to do the travel sequence a couple of times...
ReplyDeleteY'all posted three times a week?
ReplyDeleteJ/K. I do the same... it' helps to have a rhythm. But man, there are those nights where even if you have an idea, you just don't have the will to get into it. Thank God for YouTube videos and goofy emailed pictures. (And I don't even have to draw anything...)
I tried looking for MJunta on your previous post, wanted to see if he/she blogs. Then I could have left a "Nice post!" comment on their blog. But I guess the comment has been deleted.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I was thinking just a day ago how awesome it is that you guys take the time to go and read the blogs of all of your commentators. Most Bloggers wouldn't bother, especially when their blog is really popular.
It's like being part of a community of Bloggers, which feels pretty awesome. I notice that there are other commentators here who checked out my blog and decided to comment, which is great (love you guys!)
This post sort of reminded me of Matt Mullenweg (of Wordpress) who wrote this blog post, 6 Ways to Kill Your Community:
http://ma.tt/2009/08/kill-your-community/
Especially point no. 4: "Don’t Participate in Comments. Make it clear that your post itself is for annointed authors who don’t mix with the hoi polloi in the comments ghetto. Don’t link or highlight anything good from the comment section; those people silly enough to contribute content to your site for free should feel ignored."
I will miss the e-loving for the 3rd time a week, but I am happy as long as you guys don't end up like The Simpsons :)
The Simpsons comic was awesome btw.
And as for your Jewish laptop...well it's better than having a hipster laptop. Seriously, I'm glad you guys didn't go all "PCs suck! Macs are awesome!" I'm just bored of everyone saying that all the time.
Oh btw, the Matt Wullenpeg thing is supposed to be sarcastic. Just in case anyone though I was saying you guys do those things (I meant you guys do the opposite of that).
ReplyDeleteEven when you're giving slightly disappointing news, you guys are still funny. Two posts a week is fine though, you guys should enjoy your lives.
ReplyDeleteAs far as people leaving BS comments, well I'd like to curbstomp every last one of them into oblivion. I love reading comments on my blog. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. So when I get comments saying, "haha great post, come follow me!", I get a little pissed. Especially since most of the time, they didn't have the decency to follow me first.
Alright, now that my rage fueled rant is over, get over here and give me some sweet, nasty blog love! Haha, just kidding....maybe...
i don't see any 'nice post!' today haha it appears you've scared them off. or maybe there is some moderation
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I can't believe that you are abandoning your blog habits because you *gasp* have lives! That is absurd, and completely understandable.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the work you guys do and even if it's being cut down for other, more important, things, I'm just going to go ahead and blame the economy for this downsize because that's what responsible people do when bad things happen. Damn economy...
Also, thanks for stopping by my inane ramblings today.
Totally trade you your Mjunta "Nice Post" for my Mr Jack House "Could never be her mild companion. Following!" (He never does)
ReplyDeleteAnd dont you guys dare stop dropping in on me even if I do a lame post ok?
followed
ReplyDeleteRemember me? I'm finally commenting on your post. haha. You guys write whenever you are able to. It's worth the wait to us to see when a post of yours in up. Love you guys. Lives outside of blogger? Really? Damn!! haha
ReplyDeleteBlogging on a netbook has to be on the side of suck. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with when you have more time on your hands, because the posts are already fantastic. Love the smithwicks to!
ReplyDeleteMy computer must be really Jewish then! Every time I try to run Paint the whole thing freezes and usual results in a restart. Needless to say, I avoid that program now.
ReplyDeleteI must say, ever since I found this blog of yours, I've looked forward to reading the tri-weekly posts and can't wait to see what quality posts you guys come up with in fewer quantities. My favorite blogging days just changed from M/W/F to M/Th. I also appreciate the blog reciprocation. Keep up the good work!
Awww u guys are the best! I definitely notice how y'all always leave good comments on my blog so thanks about that :)
ReplyDeleteLOL i hate shallow comments too!
Smithwicks is awesome. Who gets kicked out of Wal-Mart for bloody dildos? You're kind of losing me on the reality factor. :) Nice post! :)
ReplyDeleteI am with ya. Quantity over quality... at least that's the policy I try to convince the ladies I meet to believe in.
ReplyDeleteReading your blog is one of my best hours at work! I'm a seriously slow reader,I'm glad it has pictures:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking time to read my blog, it means a lot to us newbies!
You guys are amazing.. I was amazed to find a post on my blog from you!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, i am amazed you have kept it up for so long, along with having other outside lives :p
I love your blog and leave comments when I get time to read and post. Sometimes I will just pop in for a quick read because I know that your comment usually makes me bust up laughing. I need that sometimes. Being that I am a mom, wife, daughter, employee, crafter, blogger, ebay buyer...plus, plus, plus...I understand the time it takes to blog and keep up with life happening around you at the same time. All I can say here is, keep up the good work. Don't let cheesy comments upset you or get you down. You have dedicated readers who appreciate all the time and effort that goes into your blog, cartoons and thoughts behind all of the comedy!
ReplyDeleteI've been following you guys for a while and i always wondered why Bryan is so sweaty. Watching you dressed like that, makes me think of an italo american morbidly obese butcher. Which is A OK in my book, specially if you give away cool cuts to your readers. So i guess i will write down my address and i will receive some bologna in the mail by next week. Ok? Thanks bye.
ReplyDeletePS: If you could add some cheese and bread it would be great.
That MacBook cartoon was awesome.
ReplyDeleteYou guys really are amazing, especially when it comes to being actively involved with your followers. I know I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think your Jewish laptop may actually be my grandmother. It's kind of freaking me out.
I am always amazed how easily a French accent turns Jewish.
ReplyDeleteI think the point is I can do neither.
Quality over quantity, and good work using the Simpsons, that is an example we can all relate to.
The amount of detail that goes into the posts, as well as the feedback is pretty amazing considering how accomplished you guys are as bloggers.
ReplyDeleteDropping it to bi-weekly just gives us more to look forward to!
Your logic is as brilliant as your blog. Actually, I understand what you mean. I've gotten lazy with my blogging plus, teaching takes a lot of time away from the things that I enjoy. The last thing I want to do is become boring in my posts.
ReplyDeleteI love the cartoon and hope that you know how much we all appreciate your comments. (In other words please don't fly across the world to punch me in my face...)
Great post, bro!!!!
ReplyDelete....
........
.............Ha. Ha. Ha. I get those self-promoting comments all the time, including one from mjuanta, I think. I'm all like, "if you want to promote your blog, AT LEAST talk about your vagina or penis. THAT's how classy bloggers like me do it."
So um, yeah, I have a nice vagina.
AND YOU GUYS HAVE LIVES?
I so did not know that. :/
Now we have absolutely nothing in common, B&B.
I crtl f'd mjunta, but he didn't come up :C
ReplyDeleteIt would have made my day if he actually commented on this.
And the reduction in quality of Simpsons episodes is ridiculous. I still watch them anyway, in the hope that maybe one will retain a shred of the older episodes' originality. Much like an elderly woman waiting for her husband to return from the war.
I admire the fact that you've taken the time to announce the reduction, and twice a week is perfectly fine. So much tentacle love <3
haha, i like that you singled out mjunta there. he does the same nonsense to me. i just delete his comments now.
ReplyDeletei want to do that too :| some folks comment for the heck of it...i know some mjuntasssss! and i can kickbox a little...
ReplyDeleteand twice a week is quite good, i am also thinking i should post less...and network more :D
That's a very good idea to reduce it to a bi weekly update. Definitely prefer quality to quantity, even if you do only a weekly update I shall stalk your beery asses ( I mean this lovingly).
ReplyDeleteI had to reduce my posts to once a week because I got sick but apparently after my last hospital I shall be right as acid rain :)
I've loved your material since I was introduced back when you guys were BON'd. Two times a week seems like plenty to me, I haven't been able to stick to a definite schedule since wayyyy back when I started.
ReplyDeleteI love that you flew and drove all the way to his house to punch him in the face. That entire strip made me laugh so much that my 3 year old was asking me why. Then she walked around saying 'Thas hilayreus' for the next five minutes.
Totally worth it.
I am waiting for MJunta to comment on this post ;)
ReplyDeletenice post...
ReplyDelete...
...
..
..
please dont punch me in the face!! lol. But dont get discouraged my friend, even I get the dumb little comments on my posts I worked hard on. But in my case I just send my zombie army their way. ;D
My friend, (Poke the Rock) just directed me to your blog. Just from reading the first one I can tell that I'm going to get hooked on you guys! I also completely understand how difficult it is to keep a blog going. I'm currently trying to get a regular blog going again for the third time.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, you guys are now bookmarked and can expect me to be checking you out every Monday and Thursday from here on out!
Nice post!
ReplyDeleteNice post.
ReplyDeleteYou talk of many information things I have been looking for helpful for.
Здравствуйте как насчет это получает перевод.
nice post.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how people post blogs so many times a day/week/month.
I guess I could simplify mine a lot, but it is a time-consuming process for me.
Writing in general has really forced me to cut down on, you know, a social life and such.
I will continue to read ABftS every time it pops up on my Google Reader, whether that is one or 4 times a week.
Netbook made me laugh out loud. Seriously don't give up on the MSpaint pictures, that is the best part of the humor. I so love the visuals and the Beer:30 clock.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of a new (today) reader, so I can't say I feel much pain at your posts being reduced to bi-weekly. :P
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, though.
I enjoyed the Jewish netbook.
Mine's a bit like that, except he's more of a fat guy than Jewish. His name's Clyde.
I'm rambling now.
I should stop.
kthxbye!
I feel the urge to say that I will never comment with just a "nice post." I hate those. And, really, why bother when a dozen other people just said that? That's actually why I don't comment here more often, because I would always just be saying "you cracked me up again, today," which is, basically, the equivalent of "nice post." A comment should add something to the conversation.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you guys are a blast, and I'm always leaving an unspoken "nice post." Just so you know.
I haven't seen a post from Mjunta yet! It certainly was a "nice post" today! You guys crack me up!
ReplyDeleteGonna miss the 3 post week but I can imagine the work you guys put into your blog. I can't even add a bubble text to my photos (you've seen that disaster!) and here you guys are drawing up hilarious cartoons!
Grab a beer and get out there and live! Stay funny!
Quality over quantity is always a good call. And I'm not just saying this to soothe. It's for purely selfish reasons. I would never want you guys to burn out, so I'll gladly give up a day to keep the blog alive and classy... Besides, who knows? With more time to drink beer and experience life, you may have so much to blog about that you'll post hourly (jk).
ReplyDeletei don't like the idea of you having lives outside this blog. that's not how i envision it.
ReplyDeleteguys, guys, guys... (sniff)I wipe a tear from my eye and say THANK YOU! I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time. Nearly better than sex... well, some sex... :)
ReplyDeleteThe Anonymous post is from me. Can't figure out why blogger isn't letting me use my profile.... hmmm. -Ruby www.mysupermidlife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you! You guys do some awesome quality work! I seriously bragged about you guys in my college class today and my teacher pulled up your blog :) Needless to say you guys have a few more fans!
ReplyDeleteAnd 77 comments later That Bastard has joined into the fray!
ReplyDelete...I was going to post up a sarcastic "nice post!" comment, but it dawned on me that you guys simply don't deserve that.
I'm just saying, broskis...believe it or not, it JUST dawned on me that kinda love y'all show my blog (well, ONE of you...I can never tell which one though~!) by responding the way you do, ESPECIALLY after your popularity boost.
For still hanging out with the outcasts and rejects even after joining the world of the cool kids, I salute you two.
Y'all got a friend in me, yo.
Hmm, after all these comments, I am surprised no one has said, "great post, bro!"
ReplyDeleteOr maybe they did, because after reading your post (every blogger has the same dream as you guys of travelling-to-kill-skimmers) I just could not bring myself to read ALL 77 COMMENTS.
Good effort in this blog makes it worth following. (So much labor!)
You have one of the most refresing blogs on the web. We still love you and will keep reading. Enjoy the extra time off, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteI think my beer would be a Newcastle :)
WHAAAAT? You have lives outside of your blog?! I believe this is complete balderdash. You two are novelists for Christ's sake? All you do is drink beer (IN THE SHOWER NO LESS) and pontificate about Kierkegaard and the teleological suspension of ethics. How dare you say you have no time for the funneh cartoons? Balderdash I TELL YOU! :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the self satisfied smile after punching his doughy face in. Oh, if only.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Nice post.
After reading this I'm so glad I waited a little longer and saved a bit more money to buy a somewhat decent laptop, instead of a netbook. Dealing with my Jewish desktop was bad enough... lol...
ReplyDeleteNot to horrify you, but I'll be using your blog as a sample with my senior English classes this year of how to create a niche in the blog market.
ReplyDeleteI teach at an international school in Turkey, and the way you guys use humor will hook many of the boys for sure. As for the girls... well, I have other things in store for them.
I admit, I've been reading you only since yu bacame a blog of note, but your archives never fail to brighten up my day and make me chuckle/cringe.
Cheers.
Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI kid I kid but yeah I know what you mean. I'm thinking of posting every 2 days instead of 1 now that school has started again.
Though University tends to give me a plethora of things to talk about.
So true! Vigorously nodding my head in agreement!
ReplyDeleteThis my friend... was awesome, the plane part reminded me of stewie too! also damn my scroll wheel is hurt going down all your comments, congrats!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so funny and I must say u have taught this Indian some 'bar knowledge' xD =')
ReplyDeleteHOLY FREAKING HELL. When I started following you, you had like, 300 followers. I see you've gotten a couple of more...
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, I totes understand about the posting thing. I went from posting a doodle a day to like, once a month.
Moving to the other side of the world may account for that, but if I'm to be completely honest, I've started doodling less for fear that my Sharpies are actually almost out of ink...and so far, I haven't been able to find any in Jeddah... X_X
And oooh dear. If I were MJunta, I would crawl into a corner and pathetically cry in fetal position for 19 and 1/2 hours.
Please...don't ever hate me that much...
You cushioned the blow of announcing that you're posting less by making this one particularly hilarious. I don't know what I loved more, the different personalities of your lap tops or the reaction face after you punched Mjunta. This post made me laugh out loud. You guys are great!
ReplyDelete~ Angela

Wait ... this isn't a blog about Keynesian economics? WHAT IN THE CRAP HAVE I BEEN READING
ReplyDelete;)
ahhhh, the ole, "my netbooks a jew stereotype" sounds like someone has got an arsenal funny metaphors similar to batman's utility belt, hilarious guys, really. My battery is schvitzing?? holy ass that was schfunny! all cleverness aside (which is hard) you guys have a great blog. and the simpsons man! shit! i thought i was the only one! i mean to be honest bart can only get in the same adolescent confusionary period trouble so many times, and homer can only eat so many donuts, and interject with "DOH!" so many times before even the simplest of folk lose interest....i think the only thing that would save the show at this point is to come out with an episode where bart fucks dinosaurs and lisa turns to prostitution to pay her way through college....give me something like that and a change of heart is very possible. i could go on for hours, but sadly enough you folks wouldn't have enough time to read this javascript dribble, thanks for the laughs!!
ReplyDeleteI believe your ultimate humour strikes some people so much that their brain is unable to comprehend enough to write a well thought out comment. I know, since I laughed for a full 5 minutes on each of the following: The painting in the background, the facial hair on the netbook, the hilarious trip to punch through the face of mjunta, and your combined hilarity. I'm glad you are scaling back so that you do not run out of funny. That would be one day I would swap beer for cider.
ReplyDeleteTime shmime. Hire some lackeys.
ReplyDeleteI know that, personally, I appreciate quality over quantity. You guys are hilarious and I love reading your posts. I especially enjoyed your personification of a MacBook. Comedic genius!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for punching that Mjunta dude in the face. I was going to google how to make a potato gun and find that asshole and shoot him in the baby maker. yes that is exactly what I would like to read about, parsley, very exciting.
ReplyDeleteI don't care how often you post as long as they are funny and filled with entertaining artwork.
you cartoons made me laugh, especially the one about the comments though I am sort of feeling as if im gonna get judged as im writing this!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pics with the plane and the car - still laughing now.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so funny, and you're right about the Simpsons...don't ever lose the magic. Honestly I would rather read one post every two months from you then three a day about parsely. (Seriously WTFF? I think you should post his link so we can all abuse him).
And, especially now you are blog of note superstars I love that you still come and comment on mine too.
I'm really not worthy.
So, I just discovered you guys. Kind of like Columbus "discovered" America, as plenty of people already know and love you. Anyhoo, I appreciate the way you guys manage to make me burst into laughter at work, and then trying to hide it... I assure you, my financial bankruptcy job is far from funny and I think my bosses are catching on. Either that or they think I'm sadistic and enjoy all the broke people I deal with... Hm. Anyways, thanks for the laughter guys!!
ReplyDeleteThe MJunta sequence made me laugh so hard! Well done.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note - FYI - I started at the beginning and it seems as though I've looped around to where I started. It was quite the read - well worth it!
